Face to Face Therapy

Face to Face therapy is the approach used by therapists since psychological therapies were first devised.  In-person therapies allow clients to focus on therapy without the distractions of their work or family life, whilst also being a neutral environment which is relaxing and comfortable.

Urgent Notice:

Further to industry recommendations, unfortunately due to COVID-19 all sessions are to be offered via Video, VoIP or Instant Messaging only.  Face to face sessions are suspended until further notice.  James apologises for any inconvenience caused.

Advantages of Face to Face Therapy

  • Traditional approach: if you have accessed therapy before, it is likely that you have had face to face therapy.  Face to face therapy has a proven track record of delivering results with enhanced effectiveness in even a short time frame.  If you have benefited from therapy in the past and would like to revisit this way of working, face to face therapy can be an excellent choice.

  • Peace and space: whilst the accessibility of online therapy can be appealing, sometimes having time, peace and space outside of the rest of our lives can be just what we need to focus on our personal development and emotional wellbeing.  If you have a hectic life and would like space in a quiet, calming and comfortable environment, face to face therapy is an ideal solution.

  • Enhanced effectiveness: therapy works through the development of a therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the client.  The more information they can exchange, the faster this relationship will develop, reaching an enhanced level of effectiveness faster.  Face to Face therapy gives participants the subtle visual cues, such as body language, facial and micro-expressions, and even the simple shaking of a head when it is difficult to speak.
